In November 2021 as part of CPM\u2019s on-going relationship with the University of Stellenbosch, we sponsored prizes of silver and findings for \u201cLiquorice Allsorts<\/em>: an internal student competition exhibition\u201d by the Creative Jewellery and Metal Design Division of Visual Arts Department.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This division is focused on educating jewellery design as a critical discipline that allows students to reflect on their surroundings and translate their ideas into three-dimensional wearable artworks that communicate and stimulate thought.<\/p>\n

Course Leader Carine Terreblanche and Lecturer Mariambibi had this to say to CPM:<\/p>\n

All students, from first year to final year graduates of the Creative Jewellery and Metal Design division, took part in the 2021 exhibition which was judged by Ernst van der Wal and Stephane Conradie.<\/p>\n

The exceptional young artisans to be awarded prizes in 2021 were:<\/p>\n

• 1^{st<\/sup> year second place: Michaela Siljeur<\/li>\n}
• 2^{nd<\/sup>year first place: Amy Noyce<\/li>\n}
• 2^{nd<\/sup>year second place: \u00a0Lindie Crous<\/li>\n}
• 3^{rd<\/sup>year first place: Chandra Ngomane<\/li>\n}
• 3^{rd<\/sup>year second place: Kim Jooste<\/li>\n}
• 4^{th<\/sup>year first place: Lee van der Merwe<\/li>\n}
• 4th<\/sup>year second place: Esther Stander<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
